Juktapa Selka is apparently Columbo in disguise. "One further question" indeed.

The joke was as follows.

A man was caught in the land of giants and brought before the court for stealing the golden goose of one of the land's inhabitants. The judge quickly found the man guilty and sentenced him to death.

"Wait!" cried the man. "Have mercy! If you let me live, I'll do anything you ask!"

"Anything?" the judge asked.

"Yes! Anything!"

"Interesting," said the judge. "Very well. As you know, among giants, one's social standing is directly related to one's height. The taller one is, the more respected one is. However, because everyone has a stake, no one can be relied upon to take measurements to properly determine the social order. If, as you say, you are willing to do anything, I task you with measuring the height of each giant in the realm and compiling them all into an ordered list. That way, we shall all know who is tallest."

"All the giants?" the man asked, nervously. "There are a lot of giants here."

The judge raised an eyebrow. "Did you not say you would do anything I asked?"

"Well, yes," said the man. "But what you're asking...well, it's kind of a tall order."
