The joke was as follows:

A man goes into the hospital with some severe acid burns in his throat. The doctor asks him what happened. The man replies that he's been drinking formic acid to help his acid reflux. The doctor is appalled. "Why did you think that would work?" the doctor asks. The man replies, "I was told I was supposed to use ant acid!"
