Sorry this was up so late. Nearing the end of the semester and all that. The joke was as follows: Light is known to behave somewhat peculiarly. Sometimes it acts like a particle, sometimes it acts like a wave. There was once a man who was studying light and noticed that it was moving in some odd ways that he wouldn't have predicted. So he did some additional studying. Eventually he had a breakthrough! It turned out that there were small particles that controlled the movement of photons. They looked a little bit like hands and would push the photons from one place to another. Later the scientist was asked to summarize his findings. "It's quite simple, really," he said. "Mini hands make light work!" |
