Terrible poetry.
The joke was as follows:
A zoologist with a background in mathematics was studying a certain type of ape. This ape species had the unusual habit of hitting fallen trees with sticks to make noise. As he was studying these apes one day, he noticed something peculiar. There was something about the way that these apes were hitting the trees that seemed oddly familiar. He pondered the problem all day, when suddenly, just as he was falling asleep, he had the solution. "Of course!" he yelled, jumping out of bed. "It's a logarithm!" |
