I'm sure that all of my readers know, but in case they don't, my father died a week ago. The last two updates were already drawn and up online when it happened, but that was it, which makes this the first comic I've drawn since. Some of my readers have told me that I'm allowed to take a break from updating for a little while. While I appreciate that, I feel at the same time that not only do I feel a sense of responsibility for this comic, but I also get some stability from it. Anyway, I'd do something like dedicate this page to my dad, but that feels both weird and inadequate. Perhaps if I ever publish a collection of these comics, I'll dedicate that to him. For the moment, though, I'm just going to keep updating.
Anyway, I realize looking at it that my choice of jokes for this week may be a little morbid. But here we go: "How many potatoes does it take to kill an Irishman? None." |
