It seems that our host has made the faux pas of forgetting to ask his guest's name. If this were a Victorian novel, this might well be the most central plot point of the whole story. As it is, we shall have to wait and see if it takes on that sort of importance. Let me just apologize, by the way, for posting this comic a day late. As a longtime webcomic reader, I feel a great sense of the contract between author and reader and the implied promise that the comic will update when the author says it will. However, as most if not all of you know, this last weekend was taken up with the funeral for my father, and I simply did not have the time or energy to get my comic drawn in time for yesterday. That said, you may expect a comic on Friday. And now on to the jokes. You see, it's funny because a well is a hole in the ground, and one often says "Well, well, well" when starting a story. |
